The Evans Area Chamber of Commerce

MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2023!

The Evans Area Chamber of Commerce (EACC) has been working hard to fill our 2023 event calendar and we want to share our events for the upcoming year with you. We have mailed out a 2023 sticker for your membership plaques. Please let us know if you did not receive your letter or if your plaque is full and we will order you a new one.

Mark your 2023 calendars with our Special Events, Business After Hours, Business Before Hours, and NoCo Connections for Young Professionals, Lunch & Learns, and First Friday Afternoon Club events. Plan to attend all these events, network with other business owners, and support the host businesses. The monthly events are always free for our EACC members, and a guest can attend twice before making the decision to join the EACC.

With costs on the rise our chamber board had to make the difficult decision to raise our membership costs by an additional $15 for 2023 and forward. We are still the most cost-effective chamber in the area, and we hope that you understand. The prices will be according to size of business still with 1 – 5 employees for only $195. Please contact Jennifer at the EACC if you have any questions about your membership cost.

NoCo Connections our Young Professionals group started in January 2022 and has grown steadily since. This group has an advisory panel to help head up the events and grow the group. If you or others in your business are 45 or younger, please come to these events. If you know other young professionals, please share this information with them. These events are monthly on the second Tuesday from 5pm – 7pm.

We have added a couple events to our 2023 calendar.

Starting January 6th at 4:00 PM we will have a First Friday Afternoon Club (FFAC) at a different restaurant or Brewery member every month. This is just a fun way to meet up with your EACC family and friends and have a drink somewhere, there will be no agenda, no elevator pitch, just a fun time. Our first one will be at Lit’l Bit Bar & Grill, so please join use on the First Friday of every month.

On January 18th at 11:45 AM – 1:00 PM bring a sack lunch and come to our Lunch, Learn, & Leads group. This group will meet on the 1st & 3rd Friday’s of each month at the Evans Area Chamber offices in our meeting room downstairs. This will be a time to learn from another chamber member to help grow your business and to let others know about your business.

On January 28th we will host a Resource & Volunteer Fair from 9 am – 2 pm at the City of Evans Community Complex. At this event you will not only find resources in our community but find places to volunteer your time. Then, on February 5th, we will have a EACC Family Bowling Fun-raiser event from 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm at Chipper’s Bowling Lanes. This event is not just for families, but for everyone. There will be bowling, arcade games, and laser tag. We would love to have you come to both events and bring your family.

We are very excited for our 38th Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony on March 4th at the Moose Lodge. Innovative Foods in Evans will be donating and cooking an amazing meal for us once again. We have heard from many of our members that the Evans Area Chamber feels like family, so we wanted to have an E.A.C.C. Family Reunion to celebrate you, our chamber family. You can sponsor the event and purchase your individual tickets or a full table for the best little chamber dinner around at https://evanschamber.org/annual-dinner or call the office at 970-330-4204. Last year we were able to donate a total of $2,000 back to three charities in our community; Envision, Evans Fire Protection District, & the Greeley/Evans Moose Lodge 909.

The Evans Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament on June 12th will be held at Pelican Lakes Golf Course in Windsor. This tournament, Title Sponsored by First FarmBank, is always a highlight for many of the golfers in our community. We have already started getting sponsorships and teams, so get your team together and plan to play in the 2023 Golf Tournament. From our 2022 tournament proceeds, we were able to donate $500 to Adamson-Warmuth VFW #6624 in Evans for their annual Thanksgiving Day meal.

Our annual Sporting Clays Extravaganza on August 26th will be held at Great Guns in Nunn. This is the perfect time to get your shotgun sighted in before hunting season starts. As always, we will have a shotgun to raffle off at the event, so purchase your raffle tickets early. We only sell 100 tickets for this raffle and will begin sales at our annual dinner. In 2022, from ticket sales we donated back $500 to The Healing Warrior Program.

The Halloween Bash Coed Softball Tournament will be October 28th. Everyone dresses in costume and has a great time playing ball all day. From our 2022 tournament, we were able to donate $1,000 split between Yellow Ribbon for Suicide Prevention and BMS Foundation. Start putting your team together to play and/or sponsor the 2023 Halloween Bash.

Watch our newsletters, social media pages, and website for more details on these events. If your business would like to attend and/or sponsor one or all the events for 2023, please contact Jennifer at 970-330-4204 or ecc@evanschamber.org. As always, thank you for being part of the Evans Area Chamber we appreciate all our business partners and hope to see every one of your businesses represented at these events in 2023.

Happy 2023 E.A.C.C. Family
