My name is Mary Young and I am the State Representative for House District 50–Greeley, Evans, and Garden City. I was appointed as the representative-elect on June 2, 2019, and will be officially sworn in as the representative on June 27, 2019.
I am running for election in 2020 as the Colorado State Representative because I can effectively represent House District 50, and I know how to run an effective campaign to retain the seat.
This is the time for me to use my expertise and energy to move a legislative agenda that primarily focuses on Mental Health. We need to continue to expand and deepen student access to Mental Health services, as the STEM students so effectively chanted at the memorial service after the shooting at their school. This obviously impacts school safety.
I’ve lived in the Greeley area since 1981 working as a school psychologist for Centennial BOCES and before that as an educator and school psychologist for District 6.
