MEET A MEMBER – RMG ROCKY MOUNTAIN GROUP

You see the building as you drive past it on 37th St. It says RMG Engineers on the front. What exactly does RMG do? It’s an engineering firm is the short answer, but it’s more than that. It’s also an architectural firm, and a soils testing laboratory. Their clients include developers, builders, cities and business and home owners like you. The Evans office is only one of three offices and several smaller branches along the Front Range.

Here’s the complete answer: RMG-Rocky Mountain Group- is a Colorado corporation founded in 1986, as a multi-disciplinary engineering and architectural firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, construction material testing and inspection services, architectural design, home design and building code development with offices in Evans, Englewood and Colorado Springs, and branches in Fort Collins and Monument.  Each office has its own fully equipped soil mechanics testing laboratory and is staffed with professional engineers and technicians. It merged with locally owned Total Engineering five years ago.

The engineers and architects at RMG have been providing efficient and innovative geotechnical engineering designs for clients for over 30 years. With a staff of 100 professional engineers, technicians, CADD operators and administrative personnel, they are committed to providing clients with professional consultation that adds real value to the design and/or construction team. They are problem-solvers. RMG provides technical expertise, meets a tight schedule, completes the project within budget constraints, and communicates the appropriate information to the right people.

If you want to build a house they are capable of guiding you through the entire process starting with your sketch on a napkin. They have worked on single family houses, apartment complexes, subdivisions, offices, retail buildings, churches and schools, resorts, government offices, water treatment plants. No job is too big, neither is a job too small. With the explosive growth in Northern Colorado the need for their services is great. They are always on the lookout for qualified engineers to meet the demand.

RMG has the ability to perform geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing in-house. Their geotechnical department performs all necessary testing and analysis of the soil conditions. Their geotechnical services include subsurface soil investigations, pavement designs (asphalt and concrete), geologic hazard and slope stability evaluations, foundation design recommendations, earthwork specifications, mine subsidence evaluation, construction materials testing, and forensic foundation damage evaluations. They even employ their own drilling rig to obtain soil samples.
